Pasture Raised Eggs

All of our Eggs are offered on a seasonal basis and feature recipe cards included with your purchase of various ways to use your eggs. We currently are featuring only Duck Eggs (white + green).

What is the difference between " Store Bought Eggs" and "The Artisan Homestead Eggs?'

Our Eggs are sourced from our own flock of birds here on The Homestead. They are free from any hormones, pasture raised and well loved. We raise our birds from chicks + ducklings ensure we know everything that they consume. 

1. Pasture Raised

We pasture raise our birds (they have access to pasture daily) + supplement with layer feed + grain. They have Mineral Well Water sourced from our Homestead, that is free from all commercial additives such as chlorine and chloramine. They have a chance to find worms, bugs + grubs, eat local native plants + get daily exercise.

2. Flock Relationships 

Birds are social creatures and one of the most amazing things to watch is the natural relationships they build. Certain birds "flock" together and others have best friends that never leave their side. This creates happy birds that get to experience a wonderful quality of life.  

3. Cared for + Loved 

We care for each bird individually and sometimes this even means treatment in the house during medical issues! Each bird is important to us and we had raise them from ducklings and chicks. We have loved seeing each of their personalities and each have a special place in our hearts.
